We collect nothing. MadTide has no analytics, no ads, no tracking, no accounts, and no servers of our own. The game cannot make internet requests: its content is built so that network access is switched off at the code level. Everything below describes data that stays on your device, in your own Apple services, or goes directly to people you choose to play with — none of it ever reaches us.
Progress is stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, your save also syncs through your own iCloud account (Apple's key-value storage) so your other devices can pick it up. We cannot see it. Deleting the app and its iCloud data removes it.
If you sign in to Game Center, Apple handles leaderboards, achievements and online matchmaking under Apple's privacy policy. Your Game Center display name is visible to players you match with, as in any Game Center game. You can play the whole game without signing in.
“Find nearby divers” uses your local network (Bonjour / peer-to-peer Wi-Fi) to find friends in the same room — this is why iOS asks for Local Network permission. What other players in your session receive: a device name with a random number (which iOS may show as just “iPhone”), your in-game position, chosen character and cosmetics, and chat picked from a fixed list of preset phrases — there is no free-text chat. Nobody can join your session without you accepting a prompt. Nothing about these sessions is sent to us or to any server; declining the permission leaves the rest of the game fully playable.
The daily-challenge reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. There is no push service and no server involved. It is off until you turn it on, and iOS Settings can silence it any time.
MadTide collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Multiplayer chat is limited to preset phrases.
If a future version ever changes any of the above, this policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated first. Questions: Lptgators@gmail.com.
